During a train ride a few years ago, I drove through a landscape that is typical Dutch: ditches cut through green pastures, roads with long rows of trees and occasionally a church tower of a village. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer such landscapes in the west of the Netherlands: motorways and urban expansions displace the beautiful polder landscape…
