Beyond the horizon: Longing for the horizon

A calm sea beckons
to the undulating land,
hoping for a companion
to travel to the horizon

The undulating fields in the area where I live, often give a surprising view of the North Sea and the Limfjord, which are separated from each other only by a strip of dunes and a narrow marshy nature reserve.
The sea beckons us and invites us to travel with her…

‘Longing for the horizon’ is a photo in the series ‘Beyond the horizon’, part of the gallery ‘Untouched land‘.

I made this photo on a sunny afternoon, standing on a high point near my house and looking west to the North Sea.
