When I look for old photo frames in second-hand stores, I often know immediately which photo fits in a frame when I see one. And if I really have no idea, I know I shouldn’t buy the frame…
When I saw this frame, I was sure it would fit well with the photo ‘Silent darkness’.
This is one of the 20 photos I selected for my participation in Fotofestival.dk, starting October 4th, in the city of Thisted, North Jutland.
A print on fine art cotton paper of the photo ‘Silent darkness’ in an old oak picture frame. The photos haven’t been printed yet, so this is a photo montage.
Visit the special page for the artworks that I have selected for this exhibition. Every few days, I will add one of the artworks.
Re-use and Re-cycle !
That is the message I want to give you by using old, second hand picture frames for the artworks that I selected for my next exhibition.
If the frame is damaged, I repair it with a striking gold-colored paint: wabi-sabi, the acceptance of transience and imperfection.
Do not hide an imperfection, accentuate it with a beautiful and eye-catching repair.
All photos on this website are available as Open Edition fine art print and as Limited Edition fine art print in any size, on fine art cotton paper up to a maximum size of the shortest side of 110 centimeters ~ app. 43 inches*, unless a photo specifies that certain editions / sizes are no longer available.
*Ask for the maximum sizes on other types of paper.
Do you like one of my photos and do you consider buying it, but want to see how it looks in your interior beforehand?
