Whispering reeds: A salty palette

On special request: the landscape as it really was, and my interpretation.

A sunny but cold fall day. There is a lot of wind at this lake, which is merely a few kilometers away from the North Sea and only separated from it by a row of not too high dunes and a second lake. The feeling I had while standing on the borders of this lake: the salty wind mixes the watery sunlight with the cool, Nordic colors of this landscape…

This is a photo in the series ‘Whispering reeds’, part of the gallery ‘Untouched land‘.
I made this photo early in the morning on a partly sunny, cold autumn day on the shore of the lake ‘Ørum Sø’, in the nature reserve National Park Thy in northwest Jutland, Denmark.

Special request 1: A salty palette - a photo how the landscape really looks like, and my interpretation in an abstract realistic photograph
