Whispering reeds: Vanity

The sun lit clouds cast a glance at the cold mirror,
the wind wrinkles their vanity into the night

The coastal strip in the part of Denmark where I live is known for the beautiful Nordic light. The sunsets over the North Sea and the lakes in autumn and winter are magical, at least: if there is not too much cloud cover. Often in winter there are a lot of clouds around the time the sun sets, so if the circumstances are perfect and the clouds let through the sun, a quick trip to the beach or a lake is worthwhile 🙂

‘Vanity’ is a photo in the series ‘Whispering reeds’, part of the gallery ‘Untouched land‘. I made this photo standing on the borders of Krik Vig, a bay of the Limfjord in northwest Jutland, Denmark.
