Noble trees stretch out their arms to
gently catch the sunbeams
when they fall
On a beautiful spring day the sunlight seems to tumble down over the young leaves of the trees.
The trees do their utmost to slow down the speed of the sun’s rays.
And they succeed very well; the sunlight lands gracefully on the soft moss.
‘Falling from heaven’ is a photo in the series ‘I dreamed myself a path’, part of the gallery ‘Enchanted forests‘.
I made this photo in early spring a few years ago, on a beautiful sunny day on a path in a very old forest in the vicinity of the city Nijmegen, my former hometown in The Netherlands.
