A land of polders and rivers – Rushing river

Rushing through the land
to find a moment of rest
in the arms of the sea

The river De Waal in The Netherlands. A beautiful, broad river, the busiest river in Europe. The Waal river flows into the North Sea.
I made this photo on a spring day in a beautiful nature reserve along the southern shore, east of the city of Nijmegen.

‘Rushing river’ is a photo in the series ‘A land of polders and rivers’, part of the gallery ‘Untouched land‘.
