The quirks and whims of an aging photographer (and camera…)
Sometimes I get very doubtful when I see a photo that I made myself. “It didn’t look like that, did it?”
Of course, I’m not a young boy anymore, and I am a bit color blind. And one of my cameras has a respectable age.
Is it my eyes that don’t see the real colors anymore? Or is the camera’s sensor becoming senile? Or did he decide on his old age to follow his own creative path? He has made many tens of thousands of photos, so he has seen enough examples…
But then I reassure myself: there are no ‘real colors’. Every one of us humans has its own colour palette, and apparently the same goes for aging cameras…
In any case, this is the result during a walk in a sunny pine forest. Apparently the camera is very impressed by the Swedish green, as am I !
‘Green II’ is a photo in a triptych in the series ‘Who’s afraid of…’, part of the gallery Untouched land.
The photos in this series have been made in March 2019 in south and south east Sweden.
