In mythology, a duende is a fairy- or goblin-like creature from Spanish and Portuguese, South American, Chamorro and Filipino folklore. Duendes may also have some traits similar to goblins and kobolds.
In some Latin American cultures, the Duendes are believed to be forest spirits, helpers of people who get lost in the forest so they could find their way home.
Duende was the first photo with vertical movement that I made with an analog camera.
I made this photo on a sunny morning on a path in a forest, close to my house in The Netherlands.
It is a photo in the small series ‘Duende’, part of the gallery ‘Overcast past‘, with five series of photos made with analog cameras.
I wish you a sunny Sunday !
