When you walk deep into a forest, you’ll find them: secret and quiet places, where almost nobody ever comes.
The wind and the sun play with grass and leaves, painting together a constantly changing scenery…
The photos in this series are all made in the vicinity of my former home town Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

Pale winter day
dancing between the birches
Cold gray autumn day
rain shows the wind where to
hide between the trees
Gathered around the pond,
looking for the source
Dance, butterfly, dance
With every touch of wind,
waltz with the light
The wind harasses the trees,
in search of his voice
to sing with the crows
The title of this photo is a line from the song Mr.Bojangles (I prefer the version by Bob Dylan !).
When I saw the brush strokes of light, the first lines of this song came into my mind:
Everything in nature has its own rhythm.
Very often you can hear that the trees are humming to the rhythm of the wind.
During a walk in a park, I noticed that the water reflected the song of wind and trees…
The sun rustles through the reeds,
the wind listens breathlessly
