A series of black and white photos I made on the coast that I have fallen in love with years ago: deserted beaches, a strong west wind, sometimes a fierce storm, and a beautiful dune landscape that is largely a protected nature reserve. Over 40 kilometers of pure and silent beauty between the towns of Agger and Hanstholm, North Jutland, Denmark.

The waves rise, explode when the wild wind tears them apart.
Confused, the water retreats into the undertow,
forcing new waves to arise and attack the coast again and again.
The silver sea
frowns its waves
and drowns the
land in lather
A chorus of water and wind
combine their power to chant
in praise for the winter ahead.
Wave after wave
lifts itself one more time,
before laying down on the cool sand.
A slow dance,
a silent lament in darkness…
waves arrive so gently
in the night
