Solar Magic - Sparkling Goodnight - Abstract realistic fine art experimental photography by Jacob Berghoef

Sparkling Goodnight

The light of the setting sun reflects festively in the waves of the sea. The camera sees much more intense colors than I do, and the shadow part of the wave is blacker than black: as if the pixels are not there for a moment.

Solar Magic – A Kiss

A sunset just above the treetops. The camera seems to be blinded by the last rays of the sun. Have you ever looked a little too straight at the sun? When you then close your eyes, beautiful colored spots appear on your retina. Well, this is just like that…

Blinded - Abstract expressionistic experimental photography by Jacob Berghoef

Blinded

Don’t you want to come
and see the light? One blink
of the setting sun.

Do you know those moments? A low sun, just above the trees, in a completely clear sky, in the foreground a lake that reflects all the light. You know you better not do that, but you look at the sun for a moment. You are blinded, it takes a while before your vision recovers.
That makes me curious: what will the camera do if I point it very quickly at the sun, without giving it time to adjust to the enormous flood of light? Can I blind the camera for a short moment, just like my eyes do?
A quick, short movement. An experiment…

Where is the journey going to?

Everything we know has an end, one last breath before there’s nothing left. Every journey goes to that end, to the ultimate nothing….

Red, ultramarine blue, green (emerald) are there in this light that paints our world so that the mind awakens to the infinite diversity of beings so that we can feel that the universe is a symphony.

Light in a dark universe. An infinite symphony of colors, silence, fragile sounds from the source of life.

Jacob Berghoef FineArtPhotography - Experimental photography - Origin

Origin

On the day of origin
the light is calling, the world
softly chants your name

Slowly open your eyes and let the light touch you.

‘Origin’ is an experimental photograph, made with a digital camera without using a lens.
It is the first result of a search for light in its purest form.

Destination

The end of a journey
the light is calling, the destination
softly chants your name

Slowly close your eyes and let the light embrace you.

‘Destination’ is an experimental photograph, made with a digital camera without using a lens.
It is the second result of a search for light in its purest form.

Breath - Experimental abstract fine art photography by Jacob Berghoef

Breath

Back in her arms,
she breathes you in, she
softly chants your name

Let yourself be carried away, know that you are floating on her breath.

‘Breath’ is an experimental photograph, made with a digital camera without using a lens.
It is the third result of a search for light in its purest form.
