‘The spirits of the mountain’ is a series of five photos, made in Italy in the vicinity of Lake Como, July 2017.
On the occasion of the vernissage of the exhibition ‘El Duende‘ in which I participated with four fine art photos, I have made two series of photos in the mountains and valleys near the city of Bellano. When making those series, I was looking for the spirit of mountains and valleys; inspired by the theme of the exhibition: El Duende, in search for the spirit of art and the artists.

Fierce clouds are born
from a passionate encounter
between sun and wind
Her silk scarf
in the morning breeze
A warm evening veil
covers the slopes of the mountains
and sunlit clouds evaporate
into the darkening sky
The night floats through the valleys,
slowly it soars
to the crown of the mountains
The evening sun caresses the mountain peaks,
warm winds torment the clouds
and awake the spirits of the mountains
